Good: Attention of nurses to wellbeing & needs My psychologist Therapeutic classes Room cleaning & bed making Responses to requests Access to the grounds Improvement: Patients resecting rules (& nurses enforing respect of rules). One of the terapeutic meeting rooms has notices saying water onbly to be taken in & mobile phones to be switched off (that's off not on silent). I respect the rules. I expect others to do so & if they do not I expect the staff to enforce the rules. Occasionally (three times in four weeks) main course food was poorly cooked.

Treated with respect at all times and never judged. Always someone available to talk to and confide in. My mood was lifted by happy attitude and disposition of staff.

Group sessions are good, particularly the art/craft etc. Good interaction with other patients.

My only issue would be that mindfulness and alcohol groups clash. I find both to be useful.

Thank you for your feedback. With such a busy timetable it is sometimes difficult to prevent a clash, we endeavour to avoid this wherever possible. We are pleased you found both groups useful.

You provided me with very personal care. My needs - some very personal/intimate - were dealt with in a very dignified manner which was greatly appreciated. Support was given for any worries or when I was struggling to take the next step - more like when I couldn't make a decision on what the next step should be! The food was very delicious and nourishing. The cleaners were great too - very adaptable if your day wasn't going so well! I was given some codeine when I went home one of the weekends that was incorrectly charted. (I did bring it to the nurses attention) I was given a stronger dose of medication. I do think the evening meds service would be improved. The handover and meds counting seems a little prolonged.

Thank you for providing a positive review of your care. When a medication error occurs it is looked into and scrutinised and lessons are learnt. Your feedback is important and helps us improve our service.

The place was designed to make social interaction between patients easy. Even though this is something I struggle with and find anxiety inducing. Talking your problems out really helps. It could be improved by identifying problem characters and managing them so they don't trigger other people. (The dinner bell is quite patronising, feels like school).

Thank you for providing feedback. The gong for mealtimes was introduced to ensure all our patients could hear it - due to the age of our building it can be difficult to reach everyone.
